The First (Sunday, August 23rd, 2015), Second (Sunday, August 7th, 2016), Third (Sunday August 27th, 2017), Fourth (Sunday August 19th, 2018) and Fifth (Sunday August 18th, 2019) annual Anthony’s Sluggers were held in support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) – Ann & Robert H Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago (one of the CMN Hospitals). The event, a minor league baseball game and picnic at the Schaumburg Boomers, served both as a memorial and fundraiser. It was dedicated to carry on Anthony Pauls' legacy while also fundraising for CMNH and supporting their mission. Not only did we all enjoy the game and food, but also participated in a silent auction and raffle. At each event we hosted a CMNH family, the Waldron family at the first annual, Gurevitz family at the second annual, Castino family at the third annual, Provenzano family at the fourth annual, and Erickson family at the fifth annual to share their special stories. The Sixth (2020) and Seventh (2021) annual events took a turn due to the pandemic and were handled as on-line virtual events. Although we were not able to get together in-person, we were still able to come together and contribute to a very worth cause. Thank you to all that supported and helped make these events successful!

Anthony's Holiday Tree

In October 2016 a Red Oak tree was planted in memory of Anthony at Ken Bird Park in Crystal Lake. The Christmas of 2016 and 2018 we asked family and friends to help us decorate the tree by creating ornaments with positive quotes, saying, or words.

Anthony Pauls Memorial
Softball Game

On Friday, June 14th, 2013, Anthony Pauls Memorial Softball Game was held at Crystal Lake South High School in support of Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD). This event was a pick-up softball game planned and attended by his friends. It celebrated Anthony's love of the game, and the countless number of pick-up games he played with friends. A wonderful event!
